How long has MAVIC been coming to Interbike?

MAVIC has been coming to Interbike since it's inception......we've been at every single show.

What is your focus for the show this year?

Our focus for the show this year is to speak with retailers about our entire product range with a big focus on our tubeless wheel technology.

This is the largest gathering of cycling industry representatives from all over the world. What is your take on the general attitude for 2002?

Well I must say that I think all of us got off the plane with a little bit of trepidation...... a little concerned about what that would be given the global economic situation with the recent tragedies but.......after four days of meeting with just about everybody here at the show and all of our retailers I must say there's a high level of optimism and we are very much looking forward to strong increases.......and everybody seems to be positive for '02.

Will the Sept. 11th attacks on America and its effect on the economy change any of your business plans for 2002?

Not really. I think it's going to make us all a little more personally aware....... I think it's actually had a net positive effect on business. We're coming together and working better together......... so I think if anything....... we're fortunate enough to travel around the countryside and do business.......and we might just enjoy it a little more.

Are you happy with this year's show?

Exceedingly happy with this year's show. Absolutely beat our expectations in every dimension so we are very happy.
