  • How was your fitness level going into this race?

I have been training on the road bike coming into to the race, and I didn't think I was as strong as I actually was. I still have a lot of room for improvement though.

  • Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

Yes, I was satisfied with it. 2nd going into the first little part. 1st going into the main woods.

  • Were you strong from start to finish?

I felt pretty strong start to finish. My last lap was a little slower, but that can be expected. I was very surprised that I wasn't more tired.

  • When did you put the hammer down?

Out of the start I pretty much just raced off. So I guess I put the hammer down and held it there.

  • Did you have any unusual problems?

No, nothing really unusual. My RD got clogged with some mud and wasn't working too well.

  • Were you happy with the way the race was run?

    It was alright.

  • Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

When I was riding up this one hill, there was a spectator watching and he called me a snowboarder because of my helmet. It was funny.

  • Anything you would like to add?

I would like to thank European Technologies! It is an awesome team and I am thankful for the support. Thanks to Dave and Chad. Thanks to Jesus Christ for dying for me. Good race to Rob, Nate, and Aaron. It will be a good season.
