How was your fitness level going into this race?
I felt as though I should have been okay but had not raced in a while so
I was surprised that I felt as good as I did.
Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?
No! I was first into the woods. I prefer to let someone else lead early.
Were you strong from start to finish?
Yes. My trainer, Doug Mills, has me on a program that has really raised
my fitness level.
When did you put the hammer down?
About half way through the race I picked it up some. No real hammer dropping.
Did you have any unusual problems?
None. My mechanic, Ronny Schreiter, had my bike dialed in perfectly. Everything
was beautiful.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes . The Trailspinners are real pros.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges
with competitors/spectators)?
No.
Anything you would like to add?
I would like to thank Joe Vitale from Danzeizen and Quigley for his unwavering
support of our team and our race. Thanks to Bill Deputy for his tireless
efforts to promote the sport of mountain biking. Last but not least I would
like to thank my wife , Tina, for putting up with all the riding and racing.
