How was your fitness level going into this race?
Uncertain - I took a couple of weeks off the bike, and hadn't raced for
a month. So I didn't know...
Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?
Yes, I was lagging behind, going into the singletrack, but I start slow
and accelerate. I didn't want to hold anyone up.
Were you strong from start to finish?
No - I popped half-way through Crackhead Bob and was forced to slow-up
and recover.
When did you put the hammer down?
I don't even own a hammer.
Did you have any unusual problems?
I had too much air in the tires. So I stopped and let out 5psi or so. I
also supermanned over the bars with a misty flip, quarter twist. I stuck
the belly flop landing - 9.625, beyotch!
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Very - Trailspinners always run their events first-rate.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges
with competitors/spectators)?
Coming out of the woods after my "gymnastics on a bicycle" antics some course
marshals exclaimed - "ooooh!" at the blur of dirt and crimson that just
passed.
"Does it look bad?" I asked...
...no response.
Anything you would like to add?
Always a pleasure to race Fair Hill - I always have a great time here.
