• How was your fitness level going into this race?
   
  Not where it was last year for sure. If this weather would ever let up maybe we could all get some riding in besides the trainer!
   
  
• Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?
   
  Yes, I was towards the front.
   
  
• Were you strong from start to finish?
   
  Definitely got stronger later in the race. It took my legs a while to open up and I had to remember how to ride a mountain bike. It was just painful.
   
  
• When did you put the hammer down?
   
  My 3rd and 4th laps. I was able to ride the trails so much faster, technically and physically.
   
  
• Were you happy with the way the race was run?
   
  Yes. Good job and thanks! I liked the course changes - tough but rideable. This is a neat course because you're really able to use more road tactics when racing. There were many spots to draft other riders (if you could stay with them!)
   
  
• Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
   
  Just a tough last lap riding with Theresa!
