Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?
Nothing, I just trained right through the race. I rode about 63 miles sat the day before the race.
Did you achieve your goals for this race?
Yes, I won.
Were you strong from start to finish?
No, I was just barley hanging on to Chris Kuhl's wheel.
Did you have any problems trying to get to the single-track first?
It was a bit of a problem passing once I was in the woods but most of the racers would let you pass at any opportunity.
Were the riders courteous while passing in the single-track?
Yes
What was your favorite part of the course?
The really tight single track with all the logs.
When did you put the hammer down?
A half mile before the finish.
Did you have any unusual problems?
No, I slid out a couple of times in the loose corners, but no big deal.
How would you rate the course?
8, It was a really nice course but I like a little more climbing and technical sections.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
I was kind of upset about the race being delayed. I was also upset about waiting until 6 o'clock to get my award.
Is there anything you would like to add?
Great course, great race!!!!
