Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?
I wore my lucky beads.
Did you achieve your goals for this race?
Yes.
Were you strong from start to finish?
Mostly. There were some moments of serious fear and loathing halfway through.
Don Morrison and Wissahickon Cyclery did a great job putting together this race and we thank them for their efforts. Was there anything that you observed that could be done better as the series progresses?
Registration and results. Race day reg. is nice...standing for 45 minutes in the rain is not. Results are a big problem at so many races. Need to find faster computer programs or something. But it was really, really nice that they had the raffle to entertain the masses in the meantime. MUCH appreciated.
When did you put the hammer down?
The first 200 yards before my bike was covered in 45 pounds of mud, grass, leaves, and gravel.
If you ran into these exact trail conditions again, would you do anything differently?
Cry. Then go home and get my singlespeed.
Did you have any unusual problems?
Aside from that half hour spent asking God why I was there, no.
How would you rate the course?
Really fun on a dry day. 2 hours and 30 minutes of damnation after a rainfall.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes.
If you could do the race again - would you do anything differently?
Bring a camera.
Is there anything you would like to add?
Thanks for the event.
